This huge and complete TUMIDOCARCINUS GIGANTEUS crab fossil, Found in North Canterbury, South Island, New Zealand, Miocene period, about 20 million years ago. The big crab was buried in very hard stone concretions, and it took dozens of hours to remove it. Compared with the living crabs, it has not changed much.
